Youtube attack: Was it youtubes fault like some would like to assert, or was it the girls fault?

I think that much of the blame lies with the parents of those vicious girls.

But the girls are to blame for their actions. I think that it's kind of silly that anyone would suggest to blame youtube or online social networking. What do you think?

I totally agree. But, in today's society it's so much easier to blame Big Bad Company instead of the parents who were not raising their kids properly.

By the way, YouTube has ways for videos such as these to be reported and it also states that this sort of content is not allowed. YouTube has done everything in it's power to keep these videos from being put up without compromising their site's mission. YouTube does not condone these videos, nor do they encourage them to be made.
Reply:nah ppl have always been violent....just now they have an arena for they petty triumphs..they are all pathetic...I would like to tie them to a rocket and blast them off the face of the earth lol its what they deserve for being violent little chavs with no respect for others.
Reply:i agree. its not youtube's fault at all. theyre just looking for a scapegoat. if anyone is to blame besides the girls, its the parents who raised such idiotic morons devoid of morals
Reply:I understand the parents of this girl want to blame someone, but they are doing a disservice by venting their anger on a website. I am so, so sick of people blaming television, music, movies, and now the internet for their behavior. When are people going to quit making excuses for some sorry, maladaptive people who have no moral compass by saying a website (or movie or song) MADE them do such and such thing? Nobody and nothing MADE them do it. They did it because they wanted to, and unfortunately, the youth of today generally think they're supposed to get and to do what they want with no regard for the feelings, life, and property of others.

If you don't have enough sense, or enough moral fiber, not to be "influenced" into this kind of behavior by a website; then you need to be removed from general population and placed in an institution for a very long time.
Reply:to blame a website is ridiculous but of course everyone wants to point fingers everywhere else but at themselves.those girls were dumb as rocks and I'm disgusted that anyone would do something so stupid and put it on a website as if it was cool to beat the **** out of someone.
Reply:i think youtube should maybe be a little more strict with what they allow,we have always had nasty, little thugs who do things like this but now they have got the opportunity to go worldwide it has got worse,it is the girls fault at the end of the day and i hope they get punished but youtube must shoulder some responsibility for what it shows..christ in the u.k it even had a clip of one young woman being sexually assaulted and then she committed suicide because of the shame...there has to be a limit of what is shown
